Human Pixel Pty Ltd Confirms Complaints and Regulatory Submissions Concerning Former Director Alex Kain (Trading Under Otto Digital Pty Ltd)
Melbourne, Australia – 22 August 2025 — Human Pixel Pty Ltd today issues a public statement regarding matters involving Alex Kain, a former Director of Human Pixel, who is now trading under Otto Digital Pty Ltd. A series of incidents linked to Mr Kain have been formally reported to law enforcement and regulators for review.
Matters Reported
- Financial Transactions: Records show over $216,000 in amounts transferred from Human Pixel company bank account to a personal AMEX facility connected to Alex Kain (trading under Otto Digital Pty Ltd). These transactions are under review following formal complaints submitted to police and regulators.
- Deletion of Company Records: In October 2023, over 36,000 business emails belonging to Human Pixel were deleted without authorisation. This incident has been reported to police, naming Alex Kain (trading under Otto Digital Pty Ltd) as the individual with access at the time.
- Customer Data and Revenue Diversion: Human Pixel has reported that Alex Kain (trading under Otto Digital Pty Ltd) accessed confidential client records and subsequently contacted clients to persuade them to leave Human Pixel. It is alleged that revenue was diverted away from Human Pixel and towards Otto Digital Pty Ltd.
- Domain Registrations: Alex Kain (trading under Otto Digital Pty Ltd) registered and operated domains (both .com and .com.au), which were used to publish content about Human Pixel and its Director. The .com.au version was removed by auDA after a regulatory complaint, afterwhich Mr. Kain republished this information on a .com domain.
- False Reviews and Google Account Abuse: Human Pixel has identified negative reviews left on its Google Business profile by Alex Kain (trading under Otto Digital Pty Ltd). In some cases, reviews were posted from the company’s own Google My Business profile, misrepresenting Human Pixel as posting against itself. This activity contravenes Google’s rules on related parties. Furthermore, Mr Kain has maintained access to the company email account alex@humanpixel.com.au after resigning as a Director and has used this account multiple times without authorisation. These matters have been reported to Google and relevant authorities.
- False and Misleading Claims: Human Pixel refutes the claims published by Alex Kain (trading under Otto Digital Pty Ltd) on website domains owned by him. The content is demonstrably false, defamatory, and misleading. We note that these publications appear to be an attempt to distract from and obscure his own reported financial misconduct and the complaints currently before regulators and police.
- Account Access Attempts: Attempts were made to access Human Pixel’s Stripe merchant account after Mr Kain’s resignation. This matter has been reported to Stripe and law enforcement, with Alex Kain (trading under Otto Digital Pty Ltd) named in the complaint.
- Improper ABN Use: Alex Kain (trading under Otto Digital Pty Ltd) has also been associated with domain registrations that used ABNs not belonging to him. This has been referred to ASIC and auDA for consideration.
